Description of "P" identifier type

 

P path names

When the P identifier type appears on your output report, it indicates that the file scanner recognized the identifier it found as a path name.

Likely cause of overreporting
in C, C++, Fortran, COBOL, scripts or makefiles
Recommendation
No likely causes are known. This impact probably applies to your code. However, you can use -I synopsisID if you want to exclude this impact.
You can add the -I option to your .scanrc file.
