Internationalization and Localization impacts summary

I18N Impacts Summary

This impact class contains impacts related to HP-UX internationalization and localization differences. Many of these impacts may require you to modify your source code.

HP-UX 11i I18N support conforms to the X/Open CAE specifications of the XSH 4.0 and POSIX 1003.1 (which is the same as SVID 3) standards. Later versions of HP-UX 11i contain additional I18N features. There have also been changes to certain I18N features between HP-UX on PA and IPF platforms.

In addition, a new set of multibyte APIs have been added to the HP-UX 11i libc following the C99 specification (ISO/IEC 9899:1999) and the UNIX 98 specification. See the HP-UX 11i Release Notes for more information.

Note: To include only Internationalization and Localization impacts when running the scansummary and scandetail tools, use the option:
  +C I18N
To exclude these impacts, use the option:
  -C I18N
