Source code scanning tools

To transition your source code and scripts, you may have to resolve transition issues such as data model and API changes. Many tools are available to help you resolve these issues. Some tools, such as the STK file scanners, are provided with the HP-UX STK.

The HP-UX STK file scanners include:

  • scanwizard: an interactive command line wizard which assists you in generating a custom detailed or summary report using the scandetail or scansummary utilities. This is the recommended scanning tool for new users.
  • scandetail: helps you perform a transition by indicating exactly what API impacts occur on each line of your source files.
  • scansummary: helps you plan your source code transition by determining the number of instances of API impacts in your source files

Other tools complementing the STK are available on the STK Web site.
