csh - functional differences (NcWn124)

CMD Impacts

Problem description

There are multiple functional differences between the C shell (csh) on Tru64 UNIX and on HP-UX.

Examples of functional differences include command-line editing, which is supported on Tru64 UNIX, but presently is not on HP-UX; initialization procedures for some environment variables; variable name limits; and support of the $USER environment variable.
