HP-UX 11i v1.6 critical impact:

memcntl - now available (CrUn167)

Problem description

The memcntl routine exists on Tru64 UNIX and will be available with the HP-UX 11i v2 May 2005 release. This functionality will also be temporarily available in the Tru64 UNIX Migration Environment for HP-UX.

The memcntl routine enables the calling process to exercise various control operations over the given address space, which is identified by the mappings set for the address range.

The Migration Environment contains Tru64 UNIX APIs, development tools, and commands and utilities to assist customers migrating their applications from Tru64 UNIX to HP-UX.
