Problem description
The libesnmp library exists on Tru64 UNIX, but not on HP-UX. However, a replacement technology exists in some SNMP subagent development environment products for HP-UX.

Use the SNMP subagent development environment supported on HP-UX.
The HP-UX product includes the SNMP system management facilities needed to manage the system, but does not include a SNMP development environment. To port SNMP subagent code from Tru64 UNIX to HP-UX you must first obtain a suitable SNMP development environment.
