Problem description
The mkcatdefs command exists on Tru64 UNIX, but not on HP-UX. This routine will be available on a temporary basis in the Tru64 UNIX Migration Environment for HP-UX until it is available in a future release of HP-UX.
The Migration Environment contains Tru64 UNIX APIs, development tools, and commands and utilities to assist customers in migrating their applications from Tru64 UNIX to HP-UX.
The mkcatdefs command converts symbolic names specified in the message source file to numeric constants that are used as input to gencat. Identifiers

Applications will be able to use this command from the Tru64 UNIX Migration Environment for HP-UX. Please note that the Migration Environment is temporary. Monitor the HP-UX release notes in future releases for information about the availability of the mkcatdefs command.
