Product testing categories
The HP Hardware Provider program recognizes two categories of tested products: "Certified for HP-UX" products and "HP referenced products". The "Certified for HP-UX" category represents the highest level of testing for third-party products and HP customer are strongly encouraged to look for the "Certified for HP-UX" distinction when selecting partner products.
"Certified for HP-UX" testing program
Partners who want to make a greater commitment and who possess the appropriate level of technical expertise and product support infrastructure, can submit their products to the "Certified for HP-UX" testing program. "Certified for HP-UX" indicates that the product has undergone the highest level of testing available to partner products at an independent test facility under the guidance of HP. It is a symbol designed to promote customer confidence of the testing and service associated with the product.
» HP Certified Third-Party Hardware Products
HP plans to aggressively market this distinction to our customers as a quality indicator of interoperability in the HP environment.
The "Certified for HP-UX" testing program is designed to increase product assurance and customer confidence with a more comprehensive and formal testing program. This program provides a means to ensure compatibility with our various server class machines and architecture. This certification program ensures that the product has gone through rigorous testing at an independent test facility and meets HP's high standards of quality and interoperability.
