| Overview of offering |  | DSPP MembersHP's Linux Expertise Centers (LEC) provide HP's partners with open source technology support on HP systems running popular Linux distributions. The LEC help ISVs test and optimize their Linux solutions without making a large investment in hardware or multiple operating systems. Visitors are allowed to test Linux solutions on a myriad of HP hardware systems including; HP ProLiant, HP Integrity, and HP BladeSystems and on the major Linux distributions including; Red Hat, Novell Suse and others.
Are you looking at migrating to a Linux solution? The LEC can help simplify and ease the transition by providing a testing environment to simulate your transition to Linux.
On-site or remote? Take your choice, you can use LEC resources they way that works best for you. LEC has the following locations around the World:

Typically, hardware access is provided for up to two weeks; depending on the project, longer reservations might be possible.
The most important assets at the LEC is not the hardware or software, it's the people. You'll have access to software engineers who know hardware and Linux. With years of experience in networks, servers, databases, middleware, and troubleshooting.
LEC also provides the resources to test and qualify your software on HP's Open Source Integrated Portfolio (OSIP). DSPP Guests For those who do not have easy access to a development or test environment, we have a solution for you! As a guest of DSPP, we offer you access to the hottest hardware, operating systems, tools and software as part of HP's Test Drive service. This is a site where you and others can easily access systems in a shared environment to try out or "test drive" the various platforms of interest. The LEC is part of HP's Partner Technical Access Centers (PTACs). |
