The HP WDB GUI 5.8 is a graphical user interface (GUI) designed by Hewlett-Packard for the HP Wildebeest Debugger (WDB). It supports source-level debugging of programs written in HP C, HP aC++, and Fortran 90 on Itanium®-based systems running HP-UX 11i v2 or HP-UX 11i v3, and PA-RISC systems running HP-UX 11.0, HP-UX 11i v1, HP-UX 11i v2, or HP-UX 11i v3. HP WDB is an HP-supported implementation of the Open Source GDB debugger developed by the Free Software Foundation.

This section discusses the following new features that are available in this version of HP WDB GUI:

• Support for Graphical display of Batch RTC Reports
• Support for Graphical display of runtime heap and leaks
• Support for display of Nat Values for floating point registers
• Support for different display formats in Register View
• Enhanced Display for Execution path

HP WDB-GUI 5.8 supports the following new features:

• Support for Graphical display of Batch RTC Reports

  WDB-GUI displays:

  • Batch RTC Reports on the basis of function names instead of block or byte
  • Leak / Heap / corruption reports
  • Data for leaks or heap in form of Pie charts
  • Corruption reports in Tabular form
  • Data which you can sort on the basis of No. of Bytes,Blocks, or callee
  
  

• Support for Graphical display of runtime heap and leaks

  WDB-GUI displays:

  • Runtime leak or heap data on the basis of function names
  • Data in the form of Pie charts which you can sort on the basis of No.of bytes, block or callee
  
  

• Support for display of Nat Values for floating point registers

  WDB-GUI displays Nat values for floating point registers (if any).

• Support for different display formats in Register View

  WDB-GUI provides different display format for Integer registers.
  The available formats are : Decimal , Octal and Hexadecimal.

• Enhanced Display for Execution Path

  WDB-GUI displays many executed source and assembly instructions in respective views or tabs.

There are no defect fixes in this release of HP WDB GUI.

There are no reported problems in this release of HP WDB GUI.
