HP Hardware Provider Program
exponentially increasing customer value through partnerships

Who is eligible for this program?

Currently, our program supports all third-party PC, PCI-X and PCIe, host bus adapters on HP-UX servers and workstations, as well as certain types of storage and network devices. To be eligible for our program your company must:

  • Develop and market hardware I/O solutions
  • Demonstrate capability in sales, marketing, technical support, and engineering of your products
  • Have at least one product that supports HP-UX 11i or beyond or agree to port a product to HP-UX within 12 months of joining our program

What additional services are available to members?

The HP Hardware Provider Program provides a comprehensive set of services to assist in the development and marketing of your product to the HP Integrity and 9000 servers and workstation customer base on HP-UX. Some of these technical and development services include:

  • Driver development assistance
  • General HP technical resources
  • Training and education
  • Equipment discounts
  • Product qualification lab

To assist you in building HP customer awareness, our partner service offering includes:

  • Listing in the HP solution catalog
  • "Certified for HP-UX" distinction for partner products that have successfully completed the certification testing process
  • Listing in either the "Certified for HP-UX" or HP referenced third-party hardware product listing as appropriate
  • Opportunity to pursue reselling arrangement with HP Complementary Products

Is there interoperability testing?
To build customer confidence, the program recognizes two categories of tested product - "Certified for HP-UX" and HP referenced. The "Certified for HP-UX" represents the highest level of testing for third-party products and HP customers are strongly encouraged to look for the "Certified for HP-UX" insignia when selecting partner products. Learn more about the Product Testing Categories.

How are customers supported?
Support for all third-party hardware partner products are the responsibility of the IHV partner. This includes all HP referenced third-party products and "Certified for HP-UX" products.

However, for "Certified for HP-UX" products, HP will provide assistance to the HP Hardware Provider program partner to resolve any interoperability problems. In all cases, the HP Hardware Provider Program partner is responsible for the technical support of its product. When applying for product certification, vendors must provide support escalation process information.

Will HP resell my product?
Partners with "Certifed for HP-UX" products can explore HP resale opportunities with HP's Complementary Products Division.
