Market and solutions

The market opportunity is expanding as our customers demand key technology and consulting services to balance their requirements of enterprises and regulatory influences. Solutions should help customers manage large volumes of fixed information and unstructured data. They need focused software and hardware solutions, just like yours, and advanced information management software and/or storage solutions, like ours.

Solution Developers must indicate in their application for membership if they meet the requirements and are interested in access to either Information Management Software or StorageWorks support ot access to both. HP will review your request and determine if you qualify for access to the specific program services.

The HP Information Management Storage Partner portfolio includes applications in the following areas: Data Protection, Data Storage Optimization, Enterprise Content Management, HSM, Rich Media, Automated Data Migration, Medical Archiving, Information Archiving & Retention, Compliance & E-discovery, Business Continuity & Availability, Database Archiving.

  • Membership in the HP Information Management and Storage Partner Program is available to qualified developers with a Storage or Information Management software solution, including applications and industry-specific data management solutions, for use by HP storage system customers.
  • To be selected, you must commit to develop and deploy your product for use on an HP storage product or Information Management Software, for use by HP customers.
  • In addition, you must be an active member of the HP Developer & Solution Partner Program (DSPP), complete and sign the Information Management and Storage contract, provide a test plan and pass HP's review of your test results.

First, enroll in DSPP

To be eligible for consideration as a member of the Information Management and Storage Partner Program, your company first must be an active member of the HP Developer & Solution Partner Program (DSPP).

If you are currently a DSPP member: Simply apply for membership by logging in with your DSPP userID and password and complete the application form. We will review your information to determine if your product qualifies for the Information Management and Storage Partner Program and if it does, you will receive an email notification from the Information Management and Storage Partner program office.

If you are not yet a DSPP member: register as a new company member to apply for DSPP membership.  You must register as a company and complete your company's information, which also profiles your software products(s).  You will be asked to complete a contract page, online for North America or hard copy, depending on your region, so sign and return it to HP.  As you complete the registration process for DSPP, you can continue and apply for membership in the Information Management and Storage Partner Program.

In the Information Management and Storage Partner Program application process, prospective Gold partners will be required to agree to the Gold membership level terms and conditions, and must include some basic business results and market position, as well as a customer reference who has an application installed.  Once the partner contract is signed, you must publish an Information Management and Storage solution with an HP storage product and/or Information Management Software, or both, on your website within 20 days.

Platinum partners will be required to meet all of the Gold level requirements, and in addition, provide a leveraged forecast of HP StorageWorks products and/or HP Information Management Software, or both. Platinium level membership requires a self-certification process, with a limited review of the qualification results by HP.  To be accepted, the Information Management and Storage partner must sign the Platinum Partner Program Agreement and develop a test plan and conduct testing of their solution on HP storage products.  HP will review the test results and accept or reject the testing.  The description of the test and procedures may be published on both internal and external HP websites.

Elite partners will be required to meet all of the Gold and Platinum level requirements, as well as provide joint funnel management, worldwide sales and support and a demo site for joint solutions, as well as meet other requirements.
